Reunion update:
We need all of our past classmates that are attending the Reunion to send their checks in, Chop, Chop! Please 😀
We secured the venue at the Vue, but need to give them a head count at some point. They will provide us with scrumptious Hors d’oeuvres (no pigs in a blanket, thank God!), an open bar with well drinks, a mixed green salad, buffet style dinner (with yummy food, if not blame it on Inga and Ellen, I arrived late when they were ordering) and a Homestyle Cake (or some type of dessert). We have a d.j. and a parting gift as well. Oh, wait we need your tee shirt size please a.s.a.p. Don’t worry, we’re not going to make any cheesy C.H.H.S. shirt with the Class of 1980 on it, I don’t want anyone knowing I’m 56 just as much as you don’t....I’m so kidding 😉
Sunday: We rented the pavilion at Senasqua from 9-2 p.m. for a light breakfast (Alan’s cooking 😂), bagels, coffee and maybe some 🍩 donuts. Yay! More fun!
So, please hop on it so we can finish our planning and work on the fun stuff!!! We want to focus on having as much fun as we can with the people that we haven’t seen in years! Woohoo! 🎈🍾.

Date: Saturday, August 31, 2019
Time: 6 p.m.
Cost: $150 per person
IT IS AN OPEN BAR!!!
Also, we are blocking out hotel rooms if you would like to book one please contact Inga at (914) 271-5027.
Plans for Sunday brunch are also to follow. A Chase account for classmates to send payments is upcoming. Payments can be sent directly to Inga Colbran and Sue Parker Kitchen as well. Info on all will be set up soon.
A place to stay is Inn on the Hudson.
8/19/10: Two items: The mega reunion was great! We had 17 of our 1980 class show up! Also, Cole Bender's email address has been added to the list on this site!
2/14/10: There is a 2010 class reunion scheduled for Saturday, August 14, 2010, from 10-5pm at PLATZL BRAUHAUS in Pomona, NY (about 25 minutes from Croton). The total cost, per person, will be $60.00. Once again it is a picnic-type affair for Alumni and your spouse only. (No children please)

I've also revised the email addresses to have '(at)' instead of '@'. This helps avoid the problem of spammers who search for email addresses. If you email any one from the list, just change the address appropriately!
4/17/08: A dear old friend of Rochelle (Shelly) Gambino's of 17 years, Jackie Bufi, is organizing a tribute concert for her at The Eagles Club in Ossining on June 28th from 4 - 12. Jackie said in an email to me "I'm putting together as much of her music and pictures that I can gather from everyone who knew her to preserve for her son." Jackie also forwarded to me two documents related to this event including a flier for the show and information about putting ads in the journal for the show ("not just businesses, friends are writing little messages").

1/18/08: Sadly, I just learned of another death of another classmate of ours. Robert Piotrowski died 1/14/08. Here's text from his obituary:
Robert J. Piotrowski, Jr., age 45, died Monday at his mother's home in Croton. Robert worked as a Tax Consultant at Smith Barney, in NY City. He was born on June 1, 1962 to Robert and Mary Darling Piotrowski. He attended Croton Schools, and graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh. He loved listening to rock music, attending many concerts. He is survived by his mother, of Croton, his father, of San Diego, CA, and an uncle, Fred Darling. Robert was predeceased by a sister, Anne Piotrowski in 2007.
1/3/08: Unfortunately, I just learned of the death of Rochelle (Shelley) Gambino (Vitiello), another classmate of ours. She died 12/30/07. Here's text from her obituary:
Rochelle M. Gambino Vitiello, age 44, of Cold Spring, NY, died on Sunday December 30, 2007 at her residence in Cold Spring, NY. Born in Garfield Heights, Ohio , she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dolores H. (Zelasko) Gambino. Mrs. Vitiello was a Singer and songwriter, the former owner operator of Cold Spring Dog Grooming and a Parishioner of our lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, NY. She is survived by her husband Albert Vitiello, III of Cold Spring, NY. One son Albert John "A.J." Vitiello of Cold Spring, NY. Two brothers Sterling Gambino of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Royce Gambino of Yorktown, NY. Three sisters Karen Steinmann of Mahopac, NY, Candace Lucas of Naples, FL and Carla Schartner of Garrison, NY.
10/15/07: I received an email with the following: It is with deep regret that I inform you of the loss of our classmate, John Duffy.
John Vincent Duffy passed away at 6:30 pm on October 14, 2007, one week shy of his 45th birthday, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
John and his family were keeping a journal at www.jvduffy.blogspot.com (note from George: as of 11/27/07 this page doesn't seem to exist anymore) details regarding his funeral arrangements and etc can be found here, as well as pictures of his beautiful children.
John will be remembered for the joy and laughter that he brought his very many friends, may he rest in peace.

John V. Duffy, 44 years old, died after a short illness at home on Sunday, October 14, 2007. Born to Vincent and Patricia Duffy in Bronx, NY, he lived in Croton-on-the-Hudson, NY most of his life before moving to Vernon Twp., NJ 12 years ago. Mr. Duffy graduated from Mercy College in Tarrytown, NY with a BA degree in Criminal Justice. He worked as a sales director for C.M.P. Media Company, in New York City, NY, also selling webinar sponsorships. He enjoyed sports, along with golfing and skiing. Mr. Duffy is the beloved husband of Sandra Duffy (nee Trovato). Devoted father of Aidan and Ava at home. Loving son of Vincent and Patricia Duffy of Croton-on-the-Hudson, NY. Dear brother of Edward Duffy of Carmel, NY, Patrick Duffy and his wife, Mary of Monroe, NY and Jane Kotalik and her husband, Chris of New Paltz, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

2/28/05: I received the following text from Alice - "Friday night Aug. 5th Come to Senasqua to start the reunion weekend off with a bang around 5pm. Fallout will be playing. Bring a chair, some pizza and you are all set. This is open to everyone. No fee.
The Village has waived the residency requirements for this park.
Saturday Aug 6th. At Platzl Brauhaus from 10AM to 6PM and the Barbecue menu will be served. That cost is $55 per person, no children allowed. Strictly, alumni and spouse/significant other.
Sunday, Aug 7th. If it rains on Friday, Fallout will play on Sunday. There may be coffee at one of the newly renovated schools on Sunday morning before everyone heads out. That is not confirmed as of yet and we will keep you posted.
Yes, this is an open reunion for ALL CHHS graduates. I believe that sections will be marked off as to where you will find your class."

If you're using AOL and get an error when you try and send a message, don't worry about it! First of all, AOL has problems. Secondly, the message does go through to me!
